December 3, 2010 Stinks Being Brown
I’ve always been proud to tell my light skinned friends that I don’t need a tan since I have a “natural tan.” As proud as I am with my natural brown tan, is has given me plenty of trouble with the police and other people in my lifetime. Well, I believe that it is human nature for us to judge another person based on their physical appearance. It is a way of us to protect ourselves, but it ends up becoming a racist ideology.
